The Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto will host the 11^th SSCLE Quadrennial Conference between 29^th June and 3^rd July 2026.

The Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Latin East (SSCLE) is a major international organisation of academics and researchers dedicated to the study of the medieval Crusades.

The 11^th Quadrennial Conference, titled Crossing Seas, Crossing Cultures, is the society’s premier international meeting. It will gather over 200 experts from more than 30 countries to discuss medieval history, the Crusades, and the Latin East.

The SSCLE conference will be in a hybrid form – that is, in-person and online. Participation is restricted to registered conference attendees.
