Heritage in Flux: History, Education, and Societal Challenges

In a context marked by challenges related to memory, heritage, citizenship, identities, and the public uses of the past, this initiative aims to provide a space for reflection and exchange among researchers, teachers, and heritage professionals, fostering dialogue between scientific research and educational practices.

The training will cover topics such as:

  • Heritage, memory, and societal challenges;
  • History education and heritage education;
  • Historical awareness and democratic citizenship;
  • Local history, heritage, and the teaching of history;
  • Teaching strategies for addressing controversial heritage and difficult historical periods.

The program will feature national and international researchers in the fields of history education, heritage education, museology, and social science pedagogy, as well as workshops, discussions, and activities in a heritage context.
