"The Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918" an interview with Antero Ferreira
Following the initiative “Pandemics and History in the Covid-19 Era“, CITCEM presents a new interview made by Flávio Miranda to Antero Ferreira, one of our integrated researchers, PhD in History and member of CITCEM’s Populations and Health group.
The subject of this interview is “The Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918”, where Antero Ferreira explains what pneumonics is, why it became known as “Spanish Flu”, what general measures were adopted by the health authorities at the time, and what social effects this disease had.
