Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Minho, researcher at CITCEM – University of Porto and foreign researcher at LAPEDUH – Laboratory for Research in History Education at the Federal University of Paraná and at the research group DICSO – Didactica de las Ciencias Sociale – DICSO, Faculdad de Educacion da Universidad de Murcia, collaborating in several international research projects.
She has a Ph.D. in Education, Methodology of History Teaching and Social Sciences, from the University of Minho; a Master’s degree in Education, Pedagogical Supervision and Methodology of History Teaching, from the University of Minho; and a degree in History and Social Sciences (teaching of), from the University of Minho.
She was assistant researcher and post-doctoral researcher in the research projects “Historical counsciousness: theory and practices I and II”, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Isabel Barca, funded by FCT.
Author of several publications and papers in the field of History Education, highlighting among others “Historical consciousness and narrative in the history classroom” (2018) published by CITCEM. Teacher trainer in several continuous teacher training courses (2002-present), and co-author of textbooks for Texto Editores (LeYa Group) since 2011.
