Launch of the 'Minante' Project, July 28th, 6pm
It is with great joy that we invite you to the launch of this project, which aims to value and preserve the public space in the Minante area, full of memories and experiences of our community. 📅 Date: Friday, July 28
⏰ Time: 6pm
📍 Location: Minante area, Rio Neiva What to expect at the event: – Project presentation, where we will share our inspirations, goals and actions that will make Minante even more special. – Watch the performance of the ‘Cantadeiras do Vale do Neiva’, who will bring the beautiful musical traditions of the region. – Take part in an interactive workshop, as a moment of co-creation and idea-sharing. – And of course, enjoy a delicious snack lovingly prepared for everyone present. The project: ‘Minante – prototyping a natural and cultural experience’ is a local project with the aim of experimenting and testing new ways of contemplating and enjoying the public space in the Minante area, on the River Neiva, namely on the existing trails and public paths that run along both banks. The project is based on a set of interventions co-created with, by and for the local community, valuing the diversity of perspectives that result in distinct experiences, both material and immaterial.
It proposes a series of open and participatory events that will result, in addition to the various interventions in the Minante area, in a video documentary, a photographic exhibition, a scientific article and a reflection on the future of this public space. This project is promoted by Rio Neiva – Associação de Defesa do Ambiente, in partnership with CITCEM – Centro de Investigação Transdisciplinar Cultura Espaço e Memória, the Municipality of Esposende and the Municipality of Viana do Castelo.
It is a project funded by the EIT Community / European Union, as part of the New European Bauhaus program. As a project supported by the New European Bauhaus, it is based on the values of Sustainability, Inclusion and Aesthetics, following a Participatory, Transdisciplinary and Multi-level approach.
