Seminar "Sources from Foreign Archives for the Study of Portuguese History: Andalusia, Granada and Portugal in the Lower Middle Ages: history, sources and historiography"
Raúl González Arévalo is a professor and researcher at the University of Granada. His research interests focus on the economic and social history of the Western Mediterranean and the Atlantic at the end of the Middle Ages. His themes include the study of navigation, trade, foreign communities, diplomacy and slavery during the final centuries of the medieval period. His research uses mainly Spanish (Castilian) and Italian (Florentine, Venetian and Genoese) sources.
The seminars on Sources from Foreign Archives for the Study of Portuguese History are free to attend. They aim to encourage undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students, as well as researchers and teachers, to use documentation accessible in archives and libraries outside Portugal.
The session will be broadcast live via Zoom: https://videoconf-colibri.zoom.us/j/94680776359.
