{"id":23027,"date":"2025-11-18T14:33:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T14:33:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/citcem.org\/premio-de-estudos-em-cultura-do-mar-octavio-lixa-filgueiras\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T08:38:25","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T08:38:25","slug":"premio-de-estudos-em-cultura-do-mar-octavio-lixa-filgueiras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citcem.org\/en\/premio-de-estudos-em-cultura-do-mar-octavio-lixa-filgueiras\/","title":{"rendered":"Prize for Studies in Sea Culture &#8211; Oct\u00e1vio Lixa Filgueiras"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The jury of the 7th edition of the Oct\u00e1vio Lixa Filgueiras Prize for Studies in the Culture of the Sea, promoted by the Municipality of \u00cdlhavo through the \u00cdlhavo Maritime Museum, awarded the prize to the doctoral thesis &#8220;Vulnerability and resilience in coastal communities in northwest Portugal (late 16th century &#8211; mid-19th century)&#8221; (2025), by <strong>Ana Isabel Lopes<\/strong>, an FCT scholarship holder.<\/p>\n<p>The handover took place during the 13th &#8220;Challenges of the Portuguese Sea&#8221; Seminar, dedicated to Women of the Sea, which marked National Sea Day on November 15, 2025, delivered by the mayor of \u00cdlhavo, the director of the Maritime Museum and the representative of the family of the architect Oct\u00e1vio Lixa Filgueiras.<\/p>\n<p>Ana Isabel Lopes is a researcher at CITCEM and has a PhD in History from FLUP. Her work focuses on the active relationship of coastal communities in northwest Portugal with the territory, analyzing the environmental challenges associated with coastal erosion.
