{"id":22371,"date":"2025-09-12T12:27:24","date_gmt":"2025-09-12T12:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/citcem.org\/tenure-area-disciplinar-de-historia\/"},"modified":"2025-09-12T12:35:38","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T12:35:38","slug":"tenure-area-disciplinar-de-historia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citcem.org\/en\/tenure-area-disciplinar-de-historia\/","title":{"rendered":"Tenure &#8211; History subject area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Maria Jo\u00e3o Oliveira e Silva<\/strong> has a degree in History &#8211; Education (FLUP, 2003), a Master&#8217;s degree in Medieval and Renaissance History (FLUP, 2006) and a PhD in History (FLUP, 2010).<\/p>\n<p>He dedicated his doctorate to the areas of Paleography and Diplomacy, focusing on the documentation of the Porto<em>Cathedral<\/em> in the medieval period<em>(A Escrita na Catedral: a Chancelaria Episcopal do Porto na Idade M\u00e9dia<\/em>. Lisbon: CEHR, 2013).<\/p>\n<p>His post-doctoral project, based at the CEHR (Center for the Study of Religious History) and CITCEM (Center for Transdisciplinary Research &#8220;Culture, Space and Memory&#8221;), focused on the theme &#8220;Teaching and learning to write in Portugal in the Middle Ages&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>She was a contracted researcher at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto, carrying out her research at CITCEM, through a project on the analysis of the levels of graphic competence of the maritime communities of northern Portugal (between the Middle Ages and the Modern Period).<\/p>\n<p>She is currently an integrated researcher at CITCEM, where she coordinates the &#8220;Sociabilities and Religious Practices&#8221; research group, and an assistant professor at DHEPI (Department of History and Political and International Studies) at FLUP.
