The II Colloquium on Mar\u00e3o<\/a> ‘s Roads – Towns and communication routes throughout History<\/a> will take place in the auditorium of Casa do Povo da Campe\u00e3 (41\u00b017’29.64 “N, 7\u00b052’27.47 “W), Vila Real, next October 9th and 10th, with online broadcasting: https:\/\/bit.ly\/2N3mVte<\/a><\/p>\n

The organization of this event is the result of a partnership between the Campe\u00e3 Parish Council, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragan\u00e7a, the Vila Real Municipal Library, and the Arquivo de Mem\u00f3rias association.<\/p>\n

The colloquium<\/strong> will bring together several specialists and researchers in the fields of History, Archaeology, Anthropology and Ethnography, who will present studies on the theme of rural and urban settlement and its articulation with communication routes throughout History, in Serra do Mar\u00e3o and surrounding regions. Emphasis will be given to the historical and traditional experiences of the people along the route of the old roads and, on the other hand, to the identification and valorization of the resulting material and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

As part of the colloquium’s program, there will also be a concert<\/strong> of Tuna da Campe\u00e3, on Saturday, October 9th, at 9:45pm, and a walk<\/strong>On Sunday, October 10th, at 9am, there will be a guided tour of the section of the old Mar\u00e3o Way that goes from Cal\u00e7ada do Arco to Fonte do Ladr\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Registration<\/a> is required to attend the presentations in person or participate in the walk.<\/p>\n

– The registration for the components of the colloquium is independent, and there may be registration for each of them separately or for all of them.
\n– Registration is limited and closes October 4th.<\/p>\n
