Throughout its various editions, the International Congress on Cyberjournalism has tracked the transformations of journalism in the digital environment, from the earliest experiments in participatory journalism and convergence to the current challenges posed by platformization and artificial intelligence. In the process, it has established itself as a forum for critical reflection on emerging practices, models, and dynamics in the field of cyberjournalism<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The 2026 edition of the International Congress on Cyberjournalism (#9COBCIBER) aims to shift the analytical focus toward the relationships of influence and power that permeate the digital information ecosystem. Rather than simply introducing new subjects of study, the aim is to encourage a critical examination of how power is distributed, negotiated, and exercised in the processes of information production, circulation, and reception. In this context, platforms, algorithms, political actors, content creators, metrics, and emerging technologies are no longer merely elements of the media system but are analyzed as active agents in shaping visibility, authority, and the legitimacy of information.
