Ana Vale is an archaeologist and has a PhD in Archaeology since 2012 from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto.
An integrated researcher at CITCEM since 2017, she was part of the REMA – Research Management and Science Communication Hub (CEECINST/00130/2018), at FLUP, between 2019 and 2025.
His area of study has focused on understanding the construction of Chalcolithic spaces and landscapes in the Iberian Peninsula, based mainly on the ongoing study of the archaeological site of Castanheiro do Vento (Vila Nova de Foz Côa), and he was part of the project’s coordination team from 2004 to 2019.
More recently, she has sought to study social relations based on care strategies and has also dedicated herself to gender archaeology.
