Biographical note

Doctorate in “Literatura Española y Teoría de la Literatura” from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), with the doctorate thesis directed by Professor Francisco Gutiérrez Carbajo and entitled El teatro español en Lisboa en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, which was awarded the “Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado”; Master in Literary, Cultural and Interart Studies by the University of Porto; “Diploma de Estudios Avanzados” (DEA) by the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), Degree in “Filología Hispánica” by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). In addition, since 2001, she has attended specialized continuing education courses in didactics of Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL), in foreign language assessment, and in quality improvement and educational management in SFL centers taught by institutions such as Instituto Cervantes, Universidad Nebrija, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Universidade do Porto, Universidade do Minho, among others.

She works at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (FLUP) as a lecturer in the areas of Spanish literature, SFL didactics and Spanish teacher training. She has also taught SFL classes at the following levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): A1, A2, B1.1, B1.2, B2.1, C1.1 and C1.2. Since 2009, she follows as co-supervisor and advisor numerous reports in the Master in teaching and frequently participates in juries of academic examinations.

Her lines of research focus on Spanish literature of the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, on literary relations between Portugal and Spain, and on didactics and teacher training in SFL.
