Luís Valentim Pereira Monteiro is a PhD student in Heritage Studies, Museology. He has a degree in Archaeology and a master’s degree in Museology. Between 2015 and 2021, he was a member of the Portuguese Parliament. Back at the Academy, he has dedicated himself to Critical Museology and Memory Studies. He has curated several exhibitions and directed two documentaries: one on the memory of the resistance to fascism in the city of Porto, and the other on the precariousness of research work in Portugal. He is currently working on his PhD project “Memory and Project: Subsidies for an Activist Museum of Antifascism in Porto”.
