Biographical note

Graduated (1999) in Museology from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). She holds a Master’s degree (2003) and a PhD (2008) in Visual Arts – with emphasis on the research line Image and Culture – from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She has developed post-doctoral research (2017-2019) entitled “Documentation in Museums and Safeguarding of Intangible Heritage: challenges and potentialities of Integrated Heritage Management as a tool for Cultural Democracy in Portuguese and Brazilian museums”, in the area of Museology, at the Department of Heritage Sciences and Techniques, University of Porto. She is currently Associate Professor III, with exclusive dedication, of the Department of Museological Studies and Processes (DEPM/UNIRIO) and the Graduate Program in Museology and Heritage (PPG-PMUS/UNIRIO-MAST).
