Biographical note

Daniel Cardeira has a degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (2015) and a master’s degree in Art History, Heritage and Visual Culture from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (2020). His dissertation entitled “Animal-drawn vehicles in the Algarve. Carretas e carros de besta” is subordinated to the study of animal traction vehicles in the Algarve and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Ana Cristina Sousa.
PhD student in Heritage Studies at the Faculty of Arts, University of Porto, with the project “Animal-drawn vehicles south of the Tagus in the XIX and XX centuries: Study and patrimonial valorization” funded by FCT (Ref. UI/BD/153611/2022), under the supervision of Professors Ana Cristina Sousa (FLUP-DCTP/CITCEM), Paulo Simões Rodrigues (UE-DH/CHAIA) and Ana Carvalho (UE/CIDEHUS).
