MEDINFOR VI International Conference - Medicine in the Information Age
MEDINFOR VI International Colloquium – Medicine in the Information Age
Inaugurated in 2008, in Salvador da Bahia, organized by the Graduate Program in Information Science (PPGCI) and the Bahia School of Medicine (FMB) as part of the celebrations of the bicentennial of the foundation of the Bahia School of Medicine, the MEDINFOR has already five editions, the last of which was organized by UFBA and held online, in September 2020. The experience of the five editions, all with published books, will certainly contribute to MEDINFOR VI continuing to promote the interdisciplinarity between Medicine and Information Science, which has been an identifying mark of the event since its first edition.
On October 18, 19 and 20, 2023, U.PORTO and UFBA will hold MEDINFOR VI in the city of Porto, organized by FLUP/CITCEM, the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). The Colloquium counts with the participation of renowned professors and researchers, from several countries, from the areas of Information Science, Health Sciences, Computer Sciences and Culture, whose specialties are related to the various themes of MEDINFOR.
Following the usual structure of previous Colloquia, MEDINFOR VI will have the following thematic panels:
Topic I – Information management in health systems
Topic II – Artificial Intelligence in Medicine
Theme III – Scientific communication and dissemination
Theme IV – Medical-cultural, memory, identity and heritage
