Taking advantage of the presence in Portugal of Professor Irina Podgornyanthropologist, senior researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council and director of the Historical Archive of the Museum of the Plata Argentina, CITCEM – Faculdade de Letras da Univ. do Porto in collaboration with CIDEHUS / Univ. de Évora and the Erasmus Mundus TPTI Master, will hold on the next October 2nd, between 11am and 12:30pm a Workshop (on-line) dedicated to the topic : Archives, Museums and Science Collections: intersections of scientific knowledge production, which will be coordinated by Helena Santos of Porto’s Faculty of Economics, and which aims to discuss the role of archives, museums and their collections in the History of Science, pointing out the challenges that the ‘digital age’ poses to the production of scientific knowledge.

The initiative also has the support of the Pharmacy Museum of Porto and APOM – Portuguese Museology Association.
