History of Knowledge Conference – UPorto 2023 "Circulation of Knowledge - Epistemic, Social and Material dimensions"

The History of Knowledge Conference – UPorto 2023 brings together specialists from the History of Science, History of Knowledge, Colonial Studies, Maritime History and Global History to show their ongoing research or consolidated results, having as central theme the “Circulation of knowledge – Mental, Social and Material dimensions”.

The conference will be held from 22nd till 24th November 2023, in Porto, Portugal

The call for proposals is open between March 1st and May 30th.

Researchers are invited to submit their papers on the social material and intellectual conditions of the historical processes of production and circulation of Knowledge. The scope of this conference encompasses topics related to the transformation processes that impacted cultural identities, social practices, political conjunctures and cognitive dimensions. Research related to any geographical area from the Early Modern Age to the 20th century is welcome.
