The Jewish Resistance in Portugal | Memory Forum
The first
memory forum of the SolRem project
(funded by the European Commission) will take place during the afternoon of May 24th.
The session will be dedicated to the discussion of the Jewish resistance in Portugal during World War II and will have the participation of Dr. Hugo Vaz – curator of the Porto Holocaust Museum -, Prof. Elvira Mea, António de Moncada de Sousa Mendes – from Aristides de Sousa Mendes Foundation – and Dr. Michael Rothwell – director of the Porto Holocaust Museum and member of the board of Porto Jewish Community.
The session will be opened by Prof. Paula Pinto, director of FLUP, and Prof. Inês Amorim, director of CITCEM
The initiative is organized by the entities that integrate the project: CITCEM, Young Educators, and IM Cultural.
