Next Monday, the 30th, the collection REPRESENTING THE PORTUGUESE – A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE GREAT PARTIES, which was distributed and edited by the newspaper Público and supported by CITCEM/FLUP, will be presented at the Casa Comum of the Rectory of the University of Porto.

The presentation will be given by José Ferreira Gomes, professor at FCUP and former PSD MP, João Miguel Teixeira Gomes, professor at FLUP and former Left Bloc MP, Vasco Ribeiro, professor at FLUP and coordinator of the collection, and David Pontes, deputy director of the Público newspaper.

It is worth remembering that this editorial project was the initiative of a group of 14 professors and researchers from some of Portugal’s leading universities – in the areas of Political Communication, Contemporary History and Political Science – and also included the participation of José Pacheco Pereira’s Ephemera Archive, as well as photographic content by the historian Alfredo Cunha.
