The bicentennial of the 1820 Revolution is an opportunity and a challenge to revisit and better understand a crucial period in contemporary Portuguese history. The international congress marking this event will seek to point out the main lines of interpretation that make up the broad existing historiographical legacy and to stimulate the presentation of new approaches and perspectives of analysis.
