The International Conference on History and Heritage Education aims to reflect on the new approaches to History as a science and a fundamental discipline in the promotion of citizenship, democratic values and fundamental skills to prepare young people for life in an inclusive society, including Heritage Education as a fundamental vector in the fulfillment of these objectives, in line with the efforts of the Council of Europe.

The conference seeks to deepen these trends, bringing together representatives of the Council of Europe, history professors from ESEPP and other national and international higher education institutions, historians and researchers and students. The aim is to disseminate practices that contribute to quality History and Heritage Education in the 21st century in the training of teachers, future teachers and other professionals in this field.
