On November 20, 21 and 22, 2025, the Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez will hold the VII International Congress on the theme of
The Noble House: A Heritage for the Future
It will be a unique event in its own right and one of the main forums for reflection, study and debate on these issues at national and international level:

• Historical Memory: Family History, Genealogy and Heraldry;
• Family archives and documentation;
• Built Heritage: studies, defense and valorization;
• Tourism and Regional Development.

Attracting and disseminating quality research on these themes and issues is the central objective of an initiative that also manages to be an example of cooperation between a local authority, the Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, and CITCEM, the Research Center of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto. At the same time, this Congress attracts many universities, both national and foreign, represented by various professors and researchers.
