Conference "Letters in the Cloisters: Monastic Libraries in the North of Portugal from the Middle Ages to the 19th Century
The Study Days “Letters in the Cloisters: Monastic Libraries in the North of Portugal from the Middle Ages to the 19th Century” will take place on November 5th, starting at 2:30pm, in the Cloisters of the Monastery of S. Miguel de Refojos, in Cabeceiras de Basto.
Besides a Round Table discussion on “Aview around monastic libraries: paths, challenges and research tracks“, the exploratory project Monastic Libraries in Northern Portugal from the Middle Ages to the 19th century will be presented.
This event is organized by the Cabeceiras de Basto Benedictine Study Center, Prof. Doutor Frei Geraldo Dias Coelho (O.S.B.), and by CITCEM researcher Paula Almeida Mendes.
