The journal began publication in 1997 and has been published regularly on a six-monthly basis. It is a periodical scientific publication in the area of Information Science and its main objectives are to promote and disseminate research studies in the area, having as privileged target audience the professionals of libraries, archives and information services in general and the teachers, researchers and students of university courses in the area of Information Science.
