rurAllure International Congress - "Promoting Cultural Heritage and Museums in a Rural Context

On September 8, 9 and 10, Vila do Conde will host the International Congress of the rurAllure project under the theme “Promotion of Cultural Heritage and Museums in a Rural Context”, which will take place at the Municipal Theater.

This congress aims to analyze the use of current information technologies in order to promote the connection between the territory and the travelers who, every year, traverse it, whether by following the European pilgrimage routes or by freely following routes of true discovery, enhancing an experience around the heritage, and in particular the literary and artistic heritage.

Remember that Vila do Conde City Hall is the Portuguese partner of the rurAllure Project, which brings together a network of cultural institutions from various countries (museums, libraries, natural heritage, civil associations, among others), created so that, together, they can benefit from the flow of people on nearby pilgrimage routes, such as the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, which crosses our municipality.

Participation in the rurAllure International Congress is open to the community by prior registration to the email rurallure@cm-viladoconde.pt

8, 9 & 10/09/2021

The International Congress rurAllure – Promotion of Cultural Heritage and Museums in a rural context, aims to problematize the use of current information technologies, in order to increase the symbiosis between the territory and the travellers who annually cross it, whether in the fulfillment of the European pilgrimage routes, or in the free circulation through routes of true discovery, enhancing a differentiating experience of place, around heritage, and in particular the literary and artistic heritage.
