The International Conference “Heritage Education in Action: Weaving relations between museums, schools and territories” takes place within the framework of the research project “Heritage Education for territorial and emotional intelligence of citizenship. Análisis de buenas prácticas, diseño e intervención en la enseñanza obligatoria”. In line with the conceptualizations proposed by this research project, the museum is understood here as a vital node for sharing, creating, leading, and managing programs with publics and communities to produce deeply relational spaces of education and encounter between museums/collections, educators, and visitors. In these spaces disciplinary boundaries are crossed, meanings renegotiated, and representational practices or ways of seeing challenged, paving the way for other narratives and new ways (or modified ways) of seeing, interpreting, and feeling.
