In the scope of the Conference Cycle “Minho Stories | Narratives in the Feminine of an Identity Geography “*, the sound documentary By a rotation of the gaze. The Cerveira International Art Biennial told in a feminine way.

Produced and directed by Elisa Noronha, researcher at CITCEM – Center for Transdisciplinary Research “Culture, Space and Memory” of the Faculty of Arts of the U. Porto, this documentary presents itself as an important chapter in the history of the Biennial by portraying the importance of women artists and non-artists for the existence of this event both as an artistic reality and as a cultural reference and / or identity of Vila Nova de Cerveira. The documentary also portrays the impact that this event had on the lives of the women of Vila Nova de Cerveira and their effective and/or affective participation and identification so that the Biennial would continue to exist as a representation of values and meaning of a town that became known as Vila das Artes.
