CITCEM researcher wins FCT Scientific Employment Incentive Competition

Gisele Conceição, CITCEM researcher, had the project “Informal Enlightenment: Early Modern self-organised networks of knowledge” approved in the Contest to Stimulate Individual Scientific Employment, promoted by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, in the category of Junior Researcher.

According to the researcher “This project addresses the mechanisms of shared production and circulation of knowledge within and from the informal self-organized network built around the intellectual activities of the Portuguese physician António Nunes Ribeiro Sanches (1699-1789).”

This year, for the Junior Researcher position on the History panel, 59 applications were submitted, but only 9 researchers had their projects approved.
