Guillermo Díaz Bouzas
Guillermo Díaz Bouzas holds a PhD in Modern History from the University of Salamanca (2024, Extraordinary Prize), with a thesis entitled El clero parroquial en la diócesis de Salamanca en la primera mitad del siglo XVIII.
His research focuses on the history of the Church in the Modern Age, with special attention to ecclesiastical sociology, power relations, the material conditions of the clergy and devotional practices in Iberia.
He is currently part of the PID2023-152407NA-I00 project Social networks and family economies in rural areas (17th-19th centuries). As a visiting researcher at CITCEM, he is carrying out a study on parish invocations in Portugal in the 18th century, based on an analysis of the Parish Memoirs of 1758.
