Throughout the month of February, Alberg’Art – the gallery run by the Albergues do Porto, an IPSS that shelters homeless people – will be organizing a series of “Conversations that welcome: Tools for inclusion”, in partnership with CITCEM-FLUP and thanks to the support of the FCT.

The first session takes place on Friday, February 6, from 6pm to 7pm. The aim of this first meeting is to think about how art and culture can help create community. The conversation will be attended by representatives of three inspiring projects:

Cátia Oliveira is a researcher at CITCEM-FLUP, a teacher at Colégio Salesianos and will share some of her projects with fishing communities.

Tânia Santos is the President of the Quarteirão Criativo Association, the promoter of the Miguel Bombarda Quarter and will talk a little about the Bombarda Maior project.

Rui Spranger is the Artistic Director of Apuro – Associação Cultural e Filantrópica and of the Associação Maçã Vermelha and will reflect on the theater group: Do lado de fora.

Admission is free, but subject to room limitations. Each week the program will be shared on the social networks of Albergues do Porto and Alberg’ART.
