On April 28th, applications to the call for PhD research grants from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) for the year 2020 closed. There were 37 candidates who chose CITCEM as their host institution. Given the transdisciplinary nature of the center, there are several areas to which candidates have submitted applications, including History, Archaeology, Art History, Literature, Information Science, Museology, and Communication Science. The FCT PhD grants competition is the main means of funding, at a national level, support for researchers in any area of knowledge, whose intention is to develop research activities leading to the acquisition of a PhD degree. CITCEM is confidently awaiting the publication of the results, which are expected to provide new opportunities for the center’s junior researchers.
